Smokey Plum Two
The second version of Pilton's Islay-barrel-aged natural plum wine. This time Worcestershire plums were fermented on the flesh for a month and knocked down every day - the natural wine way. It was then sweetened with Pilton's classic Somerset keeved cider before being aged in the whiskey barrels.
The result is cider-wine that has an intense smokey smell on the nose with a taste of tart plum, balanced with sweet apple tannins and a long finish.
